Sunday 10^th September 2017 – Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity

‘Proclaim the good news of God’s love’

The gospel (or ‘good news’) is that God in Christ has reconciled lost human beings to himself. He sent his Son to seek them out, offer them love and forgiveness, and bring them under the rule of God. In this Kingdom they are reconciled to their heavenly Father, and to each other, and are sent on a mission: to be agents of reconciliation in a divided world.

• Holy Communion at 10.15am at St Andrew’s Church, Clifton
• Praise & Worship at 10.15am in Holy Trinity Church, Edingale
• Holy Communion at 10.15am in St Peter’s Church, Elford

Events for your diary and for your prayers

• Summer Café in St Matthew’s Church, Harlastonis continuing on Wednesday mornings through September, 9.30am-12.30pm.  Come and enjoy teas, coffees, and delicious home-made cakes.

Everyone welcome.

• Toddler Group in St Andrew’s Church, Clifton; Tuesday mornings, 9-11am beginning in September. Activities and light ‘breakfast’ type refreshments. Planning meeting for anyone able to help with this initiative to be held on Wednesday 16^th August at 2pm in the Rectory (you are welcome to bring children too) or email gemmalouisegrice@gmail.com for more information.
• Christmas Shoebox Appeal – Ready wrapped shoeboxes are now available from St Peter’s Church, Elford. If boxes run out, they may also be ordered from me either by email on rajmid@tiscali.co.uk or by telephone on 01543 263528. Thank you.
• FOODBANK TRAINING– For all those interested in offering their time to serve as Foodbank volunteers, there will be a short training event on September 12^th from 10.00am to 12.00 noon at the Manna House Coffee Shop. If you are interested in attending, or in finding out more, please email Foodbank’s Project Manager, Lynn Le-worthy, on lynnleworthy@gmail.com   THANK YOU

 Small groups will meet as follows during the week beginning 11^th September 2017.

• Tuesday group will not meet.
• Wednesday 2pm group will meet at Meadow Way, Main Road, Edingale
• Wednesday 7.30pm group will meet at Arundel House, Clements Lane, Elford

Prayer groups

• Clifton – the Mease Valley Prayer Group will meet on the third Wednesday of the month. The door is open if you would like to join us.
• Chilcote – you are warmly invited to join us Morning prayer on Mondays in St Matthew’s Church, Chilcote at 9.15am.
• St Andrew’s Church, Clifton – you are warmly invited to join us for Morning Prayer, 9.30-10.00am on Thursdays.

• St Peter’s Church, Elford – you are warmly invited to a service of Morning prayer on Wednesdays beginning at 30am.
